Minor Procedures

The office of Shining Star Pediatrics is equipped for safe in-office procedures when needed. In-office procedures make treatment and recovery much faster and less expensive than needing to go to a hospital emergency room. With our walk-in availability, we can address a minor issue and have you back at home with a more comfortable child in no time.

At Shining Star Pediatrics, your child will be more at ease with a physician that he or she is already acquainted with and feels safe around. Our office can provide services such as:

• Incision and drainage of abscesses

• Stitches in cuts

• Removal of stitches

• Removal of foreign objects (ears, nose, or superficial wounds)

• Ingrown toenails

• Burns

• Ear wax removal

• Nosebleeds

Most minor procedures only take 15 to 30 minutes, although some more complicated ones can take up to an hour. Our pediatricians strive to make the experience as pain-free and comfortable as possible.
